The islands are not well endowed with budget accommodation -I guess part of the reason is that most visitors tend to stay on boats.

Los Pinguinos -Barrio Escalesias, Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz.
Guesthouse with accommodation in single, twin, and shared rooms with bathrooms. A good base to start your exploration of the Galapagos Islands, Los Pinguinos is less then a mile from the Charles Darwin research station and from Puerto Ayora where many of the Galapagos tours start. It is often used by volunteers working in the nearby Charles Darwin research station.
